What is Photogrammetry?
Photogrammetry is the mapping of an area using photos and their metadata.
In simple terms, its a lot of photos stitched together to create on large map of an area. We use drones to map these areas.
Advantages over using Google maps:
-Much higher resolution; we can provide much more detail of an area than satellite maps.
-Upto date data; online maps are often out of date and in accurate. Our maps are upto date with the current landscape at the time the photos are taken.
-Increased accuracy; we can take reference measurements from our data, which are much more accurate than satellite imagery.
Uses?
-Construction progress updates:
Aerial mapping is perfect for providing evidence of updates and progress for projects, you can clearly see the progress of what is happening on a site at regular intervals, every 2 weeks for example. This is perfect to ensure the project is going to plan and staying on schedule.

-Real Estate:
For the larger properties, a aerial map of the area for sale is great to show perspective customers the true size and layout of the property, especially if the customer is based a long distance away. Standard online maps are often many years out of date and don’t show a true reflection of the property at time of sale.
